Happy Birthday Rin

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIN!   

Wohooo two artworks on one day! Party hard! 8D
I love the fact that my favorite swimmer boy's and my birthday are almost on the same date and that we are of the same zodiac sign.

Since I missed even Law's birthday last year due to my art block (I'm so sorry my love! ), I want to draw birthday arts for all my fav characters this year (lol I yet missed Kid's birthday tho - but ok I was busy with the New Year's artwork ).
So here is No. 2 - the handsome and adorable Rin Matsuoka.  

Usually I colour my artworks more intense, but I want to keep it soft and bright this time. And I couldn't resist making him wear his turtleneck sweater! OMG what did KyoAni & Spoon.2Di to me? I love these sweaters so much!   

So I ended up doing an mix of the new official sweater and the old 2015's official birthday art.
But I picked flowers which bloom in Februray in the northern hemisphere - which wasn't this easy as I was also looking for a suitable meaning of the flowers (you know language of the flowers and this stuff 8D). I ended up with white winter roses (also known as Christmas or Easter roses). White always stands for purity and innocence (Rin is super pure and innocent imho), but white roses (also it is actually not really a rose) also mean love - and I love him so much!  

And I also have found out winter roses in particular also mean "Help me to overcome my fears.". No idea whether this is correct, but I like the idea as it is perfect for Rin who's always struggling with hisself and his potential to become an Olympic swimmer. :3
Okay I have to admit the blossoms look like a mix of winter roses, cherry blossoms and plum blossoms, because I was to lazy to take proper reference. But I don't give a f*ck!
